Extra tips

  • This dish is a complete meal in itself and doesn't need any more , maybe other than a glass of your favourite wine. However you can add a side of a simple guacamole , or a spicy salsa to go with these.
  • If you want to make this a light meal, leave out the tortillas and serve these as tuna salad with onions, tomatoes and mayonnaise dressing. It tastes delicious.
  • If you are serving these at a party, it is always a good idea to set up a taco's bar. Set up everything- the wraps, tuna filling, sauces, salad, and toppings on a table, and let everyone make their own tacos.
  • For the salad , instead of having plain onions and tomatoes, you can pickle these in some fresh lemon juice and a hint of salt for some time before serving tacos. Pickled salad makes the tacos so much more fun.
  • To add to heat , you can serve some chopped green or red chillies as a side.
  • Sweetener- I used dates molasses as sweeteners. It have a very distinct taste and flavour. It can be substituted with honey or maple syrup.

Preparing Hung curd

Greek yoghurt for the dressing can be substituted with hung curd.
I use store bought greek yoghurt for this recipe. If you do not have greek yoghurt , you can use hung curd.
This needs to be prepared in advance as it takes time .
To make the hung curd, simply sieve the normal curd through a muslin cloth.
Leave it to hang for 4-5 hours , so that all the water squeezes through it.
Once all the water is squeezed out, you can use the curd for your dressing.
