Mango Passionfruit Smoothie (Vegan, Refreshing & Summer Perfect)

My favourite in the smoothie series- A refreshing summer smoothie you will keep coming back to. Its tastes delicious , maybe better than the innocent mango smoothies or any store bought mango drink .

As the days get warmer, all I crave are simple, cooling, and nourishing drinks. This mango passionfruit smoothie is exactly that. What better drinks can you have in summer than a homemade healthy mango drink?

This mango smoothie is fresh, naturally sweet, slightly tangy, and incredibly satisfying. When mangoes are at their peak- juicy, ripe, and full of flavour—this smoothie truly shines.

Try this smoothie with Indian mangoes like alphonso or kesar , it turns out super delicious.

What I love most is how beautifully mango and passion fruit complement each other. The sweetness of mango balances the tartness of passion fruit, creating the most vibrant, tropical flavour .

🥭 Ingredient and Easy Substitutes

Ripe mango – Any mango can be used for this recipe, but it tastes really tropical and delicious if you use Indian or pakistani mangoes that are inherently very delicious, sweet , tropical and juicy.

Passion fruit– Not always easy to find, especially in parts of India. If you absolutely can’t get it, kiwi is a good substitute.Kiwi won’t give the exact same taste but it will give a similar tangy balance.

Liquid base– I prefer using water to keep the mango flavour fresh and clean.
You can also use Coconut water (adds a tropical touch).

Sweetener– Pitted prunes and honey . Pitted prunes add natural sweetness, fibre, and helps with digestion while giving the smoothie a slightly richer texture. You can use dates too. If you like your smoothie sweeter add maple syrup if you are making it vegan , or use honey if you not concerned it with being vegan.

Cashew butter (optional) – Adding cashew butter or any nut or seed butter adds healthy fats, makes the smoothie creamy, and gives a subtle nutty flavour that balances the fruitiness. You can use almond butter too, or skip adding this.

Blender Recommendations for making the best smoothies

For best results, use a high-speed blender:

  • I use my Magimix when I’m making smoothies in larger batches (for the whole family).
  • For a quick single serving, I love using my Ninja Blender – powerful and easy to clean.
  • Other great options include Vitamix, NutriBullet, or even a hand blender for small quantities.

If you’re making smoothies or smoothie bowls regularly, investing in a good blender really helps get that perfect café-style creaminess and froth.SaveSave
