Kale Mango Coconut smoothie recipe

This Kale, Mango & coconut Smoothie is one of my go-to recipes when I want something refreshing, nourishing, and easy to digest. I’ve been making smoothies at home for years, and this combination is one I return to again and again — especially during warmer months or after a busy day when I want something light but energising.

What makes this smoothie special is how naturally balanced it is. The sweetness of ripe mango pairs beautifully with leafy greens like kale or spinach, while coconut water keeps it hydrating and light. Blueberries, pomegranate seeds, and hemp seeds add antioxidants and healthy fats without overpowering the flavour.

I often prep this smoothie using frozen greens — something I’ve personally found makes blending easier and gives a creamier texture without needing banana or yogurt. It’s a simple, everyday smoothie made with real ingredients, no protein powders, and no complicated steps — exactly the kind of recipe I love sharing on here at From Bowl to Soul.

If you’re new to green smoothies or looking for a healthy breakfast smoothie, a post-workout drink, or a clean, refreshing smoothie for glowing skin, this recipe is an easy and reliable place to start.

Tips for the Best Mango Smoothie with kale and Coconut

  • Use fresh coconut water if possible.
If you can get hold of fresh coconut water, always choose that over packaged versions. Fresh coconut water is naturally sweeter, very delicious, more hydrating, and free from added sugars or preservatives.
  • Swap kale with spinach if needed.
Kale can be difficult to find in many parts of India. Spinach works just as well and blends beautifully into smoothies.
👉 What I usually do: I clean, wash, dry, and bag kale or spinach leaves and freeze them. This makes smoothie prep quicker and gives the smoothie a thicker, chilled texture.
  • Sweetener is completely optional.
If your mango and blueberries are naturally sweet, you can skip the honey altogether. Taste the smoothie first and only add sweetener if needed.

💡 Pro tip: Frozen greens + ripe mango often make this smoothie naturally sweet and creamy without any added sugar.
